Don Bosco High & Technical School Private ITI, Krishnanagar, was started in the year 1969 to empower the poor village boys & girls of Nadia and Murshidabad districts of West Bengal, India. It was a joint venture of the Salesians of Don Bosco, Kolkata Province and Bishop Louis Morrow SDB of Krishnanagar Diocese.

During the past 51 years of its existence the institute had placed thousands of poor boys & girls in good positions in the job placement ladder. There are thousands of them working under Govt. sector like: Indian Railways, Military Engineering Services, Ordnance factory, Rifle factory, ISRO, Defence and many more. Private industries like: ECL, Tata, Godrej, Larsen and Turbo, Reshmi Metallic Ltd., ITC, Robotic Infratech Pvt. Ltd., Minda Furuka Elcetricals Pvt. Ltd., Roki Minda, Hawke Security Systems  and many others. Hundreds of ex-students have started their own work-shops like: welding, carpentry, tailoring and machine shops. All these were possible because of the Don Bosco High & Technical School at Krishnagar. As the techniques improved Don Bosco High & Technical school Krishnagar too tired to be at par with the new inventions and development in Industries.

Different kind of upgraded machines are installed in our labs as per the needs of the modern industries. The students are provided advanced training in CNC, PLC, Auto CAD and Art CAM other such upgraded criteria’s of this era.  Practical knowledge is imparted upon the students with much dexterity. After gaining knowledge over all these the students are picked up in the campus interview itself which is arranged over here. Different Companies hire our students in different dignified posts and they brighten the name of our school.

Today Don Bosco High & Technical School Private ITI Krishnagar has one year & two years ITI Courses for 5 trades(Welder, Carpenter, Fitter, Electrician & Turner) non-formal courses for 6 trades, Modular Employable Skill (MES) courses and BASE (Bosco Academic Skill for Employer). Seeing the success of the students many more youth are registering their names for training.
Many students belong to poor families. We have MCC sponsorship and boarding facilities. The students who had failed in exam or school dropouts have now the opportunity of having some technical skills. The professional instructors have been appointed for the Formal & Non-Formal courses. The students are giving good performance in both Technical and co-curricular activities. The parents are very happy and had appreciated the initiatives.
